Our focus is on Alanya region, because the sun shines about 330 days a year here, and it is always green and lush. Alanya is located in the subtropical belt protected the city of the powerful Taurus mountains which makes the climate optimum. This is something that we Swedes greatly. From November to June, we can pick oranges, mandarins, lemons and bananas from one of the many plantations in and around Alanya. The strawberries ripen in late January and the rest of the year, there are a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables to choose from. These fresh fruit and vegetables can also be purchased at any of the markets, which are held in different parts of Alanya each day.

Alanya region is a vibrant and lively tourism industry. Alanya offers you "everything" almost the whole year round. Swimming and sunbathing in the beautiful and clean Mediterranean Sea is just one of countless choices. The Mediterranean is perfect for diving, and you can easily follow with any of the organized diving trips offered in Alanya. Havsfiske with rays, tuna and other large fish are almost "just outside the door." Several football fields and golf courses are under construction. Today there are 13 golf courses of high-class which is already in operation only one hour drive from here.
Do you want a break from beach life, you'll find beautiful mountains not far from Alanya city center. There you can enjoy the wonderful nature, the fish in any of the number of rivers that are, or just enjoy a stroll and watch the lively animal and bird life. There are two alpine center, at over 2000 meters, three-hour drive from the beach in Alanya, these are usually open from December to April each year.

Are you interested in culture and history is Alanya region a perfect choice. Here are a large number of ruins of ancient Roman villages to choose from. These are unmanned and open to all. Many of the ancient lost village is still intact, and looks like when they were abandoned for hundreds of years ago. You should know the history when you shall make a visit to get as much as possible. Roman village Leartes located in Alanya/ Mahmultar, said to be founded by Emperor Claudius on the remains of an even older civilization, perhaps with the track as far back as the old Troya.

In Alanya port shows the old M/F Bolero (also M/F Jupiter), who once owned by Fred Olsen Lines, later Color Line. Hundreds of thousands of Scandinavians has traveled with her over the years she sailed in the fixed route between Kristiansand and Hirtshals, and in periods also Larvik, Stavanger and Newcastle. Today she has fixed tours between Alanya, Cyprus and Israel most of the year. The ferry from Alanya to Cyprus will take about 4 hours.
